Resources for Inspiration (part 3)

Day 13 – Resources for Inspiration (part 3)

Today’s inspration comes from one of my favorite books on books: Gladys Hunt’s book:

Honey for a Woman’s Heart
Growing Your World through Reading Great Books

I can’t say enough good things about this book. It’s jam packed full of great book suggestions about every genre. My copy is filled with notes, highlights and underlining in all colors of the rainbow. Many, many of our book club books are recommended by Hunt. This book is where I learned I enjoy western books like Shane. It’s why I picked up a book by Chaim Potok and found he’s one of my very favorite authors. (Currently, I’m reading and loving The Promise.) This book is why our club loved and were surprised by Velma and her Cooking. Because of Hunt, I now own a cow creamer and our club rolled with laughter one December about Wooster and Jeeves. Her solid mystery suggestions by Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Kemelman are why we’re planning to fit in more than one mystery to our schedule next year. I could go on and on.

We also own and love Honey for A Child’s Heart,  and I’m sure when my little ones grow we’ll get Honey for a Teen’s Heart. (Honey for A Child’s Heart is one of my go-to gifts at every baby showers attend.)

Sarah – Thank you! I knew about Honey for a Child’s Heart, but didn’t know she had others… Fantastic.

Oh I hope you love it as much as I do!
